The Dungeness Crab
(Metacarcinus magister)
is a highly sought after edible crab found in the Pacific North West. It can be distinguished from the
graceful rock
crab by counting the carapace teeth. On the graceful crab the widest point
is the ninth point. On the dungeness crab it is the tenth and very prominent
