The flat porcelain crab
(Petrolisthes cinctipes)
is a common sight in the intertidal zone in the Pacific
Northwest. It can easily be found by turning over rocks that are exposed at
low tide. Note its blue mouth parts and knuckles on the thumb joints which
differentiate it from other members of the family. These flattop crab pictures
