The pygmy poacher (Odontopyxis
trispinosa) inhabits extremely deep water in the southern part of its
range (Mexico and California). However, in the Pacific Northwest it rests on
sand within diveable limits. Unfortunately even in the shallows it is
extremely difficult to detect due to its excellent camouflage, small size
and habit of staying on broken bottoms. These pygmy poacher pictures
are available for commercial
licensing. For further information regarding usage please
