The Red Gunnel (Pholis schultzi)
is a rarely encountered resident of the Pacific Northwest. Characterized by
a reddish body with small light blue spots and a black 'bridle' on its face,
it is similar to both the saddleback gunnel and the penpoint gunnel but in
